Exercise Classes

Exclusively for those with dementia and their carers, fun exercise sessions with Kyle at Kimberley Leisure Centre are continuing every other Wednesday from 12-1pm (dates below). These sessions receive great feedback from those who attend! There is no pressure to exercise and no need to book, just turn up on the day wearing comfortable clothing. The cost is just £2 per person, payable on the day.

Tai Chi Classes

We have now started doing Tai Chi lessons, held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church on Hilltop (NG16 2AP). Tai Chi is a form of martial art combining deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements. Studies suggest it can help those age 65 and over to reduce stress, improve posture, balance and mobility, and increase muscle strength in the legs, potentially reducing the risk of falls! The latest of these sessions are running on July 19th, and August 2nd & 16th. They will then start weekly from Friday 13th September. All sessions run from 11am-12:30pm. Hope to see you there!
